DeSantis Involved in Car Crash; He and His Team Are Unhurt

Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida was involved in a car crash in Tennessee on Tuesday, a spokesman said, adding that he and his aides were unhurt.

“This morning, the governor was in a car accident while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee,” Bryan Griffin, a spokesman for the DeSantis campaign, said in a statement. “He and his team are uninjured. We appreciate the prayers and well wishes of the nation for his continued protection while on the campaign trail.”

The campaign did not immediately provide details about the incident, including where exactly it took place or if another vehicle was involved.

Mr. DeSantis was scheduled to attend a fund-raiser in Chattanooga held by local Republicans.
