Desmond Elliot Alleges Intimidation During APC Primary Election

LAGOS — Desmond Elliot, the representative for Surulere I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has released video evidence showing supporters reportedly denied access to accreditation during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election on Wednesday.

Elliot, an actor-turned-politician, had previously announced his withdrawal from the race, citing allegations of intimidation against his supporters.

In a post on his official Facebook page, he expressed concerns about the electoral process, stating, “There were clear cases of intimidation across different polling units, and my supporters were denied access to accreditation—not to mention voting.” He further remarked that the events during the primary election “are not democracy.”

The video shared by Elliot features his supporters chanting, “All we want is Desmond, give us Desmond.”

The situation is under scrutiny as the APC primary elections continue to draw attention in the region.
