Nigerian DJ Accuses Singer Timi Dakolo of Unpaid Debt
LAGOS — Nigerian disc jockey Kubeyinje Otis Ayodeji, known professionally as Baddest DJ Timmy, has publicly accused singer Timi Dakolo of failing to repay a debt.
In an Instagram post on Friday, DJ Timmy stated that Dakolo had previously requested that he remove a prior post regarding the outstanding amount, assuring him that payment would be forthcoming.
DJ Timmy gave Dakolo a three-day ultimatum to settle the debt, threatening to disclose personal details about the singer. “If by Monday, the money doesn’t hit our account, get ready to explain your sexcapades to your wife and all your little adventures in Lagos,” he wrote.
The disc jockey noted that it has been one month since Dakolo asked him to take down the earlier post, and he claims that no payment has been made.
The controversial post has generated a mix of reactions online, ranging from amusement to concern.
