LAGOS, Nigeria — Popular Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan and musician Seun Kuti have severed their connection on Instagram, prompting speculation among fans and on social media regarding a potential rift between the two.
The unfollowing occurred during VeryDarkMan’s ongoing legal dispute with another party, Blord. The circumstances behind this development remain unclear. However, Kuti took to his Instagram story on Wednesday to address the situation, posting a jest aimed at VeryDarkMan’s fanbase, known as ‘Ratel.’
In his post, Kuti wrote, “You are rats, not ratels. Why una dey disguise?” This comment follows a recent period during which VeryDarkMan publicly supported Kuti in his conflict with fellow artist Wizkid, who has faced allegations of disrespecting the legacy of Kuti’s late father, renowned musician Fela Kuti.
According to DAILY POST, VeryDarkMan, regarded as a close associate of Kuti, recently paid a visit to Fela Kuti’s gravesite to conduct a ritual using a ram.
