Family of Actor Pete Edochie Seeks Arrest of TikTok User Spreading Death Rumors
The family of Nigerian actor Pete Edochie has reached out to the Department of State Services (DSS) to seek the arrest of a TikTok user who falsely reported his death.
This action follows a viral rumor asserting that Edochie had passed away, which his family and management promptly denied. Leo Edochie, the actor’s eldest son, addressed the matter in a video posted on Instagram, labeling the claims as “a lie from the pit of hell.”
In a subsequent Facebook post on Thursday evening, Leo Edochie revealed that he had contacted the DSS regarding the TikTok user who disseminated the false information. He also announced a monetary reward for anyone who could provide information leading to the individual’s arrest.
In his post, Leo shared a photo of the TikTok user, identified by the handle @ONE_BOR001, and stated, “This young man posted a video on TikTok claiming that our father is dead.” He added, “Anyone with information that will lead to his arrest will be handsomely rewarded in cash. I have contacted DSS, and they are on his trail.”
Leo encouraged individuals with relevant information to direct message him, promising a cash reward upon the TikTok user’s arrest.
