EFCC reveals face of dismissed military man posing as anti-graft officer

EFCC Uncovers Suspected Impostor Posing as Officer

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has identified a suspect allegedly deceiving the public by impersonating one of its officers.

Haruna Mamuda, a former military personnel, has been accused of masquerading as an EFCC operative, according to a video released by the agency. In the footage, Mamuda and his driver, Salifu Olije Mustapha, were seen conducting operations that involved harassing unsuspecting individuals while falsely presenting themselves as officials of the commission.

This development follows Mustapha’s recent arraignment before Justice A.I. Akobi at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Kubwa, Abuja. He faces four counts of impersonation and misrepresentation.

The EFCC is actively pursuing the matter to ensure accountability and maintain the integrity of its operations.
