End SARS, SWAT: Davido attacks Buhari govt over ban on protests in FCT – Daily Post Nigeria

Nigerian Afro-beat singer, David Adeleke, popularly referred to as Davido, has condemned the ban of protests in Abuja by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Safety Committee.

The committee had banned all types of road protests over failure to stick to COVID-19 protocols.

An announcement by the committee mentioned protesters had endangered the lives of residents of the capital metropolis.

Condemning the ban, Davido criticized authorolities for permitting marketing campaign rallies regardless of the COVID-19 disaster.

In a tweet, Davido wrote: “Can’t protest however you all simply had marketing campaign rallies and performed 2 elections just lately !!! Do they assume ?? Wtf I’m ANGRY !”

The anti-SARS protest in Abuja had turned bitter as armed thugs attacked protesters.

The thugs had unleashed mayhem on the protesters and their automobiles.
