EPL: David Seaman predicts surprise team to challenge Arsenal for title
David Seaman, the former England goalkeeper, has identified Liverpool as a potential challenger for the Premier League title, suggesting they may pose a significant threat to Arsenal’s quest to retain the crown this season.
Many fans and analysts have predicted that Arsenal will successfully defend their title, but the competition remains fierce. Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea were also regarded as strong contenders.
However, Manchester United’s season began with an unexpected 2-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday, raising concerns about their title aspirations.
“I did think Man United were going to be a lot better than what I’ve seen today, so that’s been disappointing,” Seaman stated, as reported by the UK Metro.
He also expressed disappointment with Manchester City’s performance in the recent Community Shield match against Arsenal, which he felt did not meet expectations.
“I’m looking at Liverpool. I still think City will be strong, but I’m going for Liverpool,” he added.
