EPL: Gerrard names three clubs capable of challenging Arsenal for League title
Former England midfielder Steven Gerrard is reaffirming his pre-season prediction that Arsenal will capture the Premier League title this year. The Gunners, who ended a 22-year trophy drought last season, currently sit three points clear at the top of the table following their recent 1-0 victory against Liverpool.
Gerrard noted that Arsenal possesses the resilience needed to fend off challenging rivals. He identified Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool as key contenders that could mount a significant challenge to Arsenal’s title hopes.
In an interview on The Overlap Daily, Gerrard stated, “I just think where Arsenal’s squad is, and City’s, the Liverpool squad…over the course of the 38 games, those three teams, along with Chelsea, will likely pull away a bit.”
