EPL: Two Man Utd players to leave as Carrick signs Ederson

Manchester United Eyes Additional Midfielder Following Ederson Agreement

Manchester United is set to enhance its midfield lineup, even after reaching a transfer agreement with Atalanta for Brazilian player Ederson. The deal, which includes performance-related add-ons, is valued at €45 million.

Ederson is reportedly on track to finalize a four-year contract with the club at Old Trafford.

However, according to football transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, United’s manager, Michael Carrick, is looking to pursue another midfield signing. This need arises as both Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro are expected to depart the team this summer.

In a post on X, Romano stated, “Ederson will only be the first midfield signing at Man United; at least one more has been planned. With Casemiro and Ugarte leaving, #MUFC will add one more, potentially two under certain conditions.”
