Ex-BBNaija Star Tacha Dares Wike, Insists On #EndSARS Protest In Rivers

Ex-BBNaija star Tacha has insisted on #EndSARS protest in Rivers amid an order by the Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, prohibiting protests within the south-south state.

Naija News had reported earlier that Governor Wike banned all forms of protests in Rivers State and particularly, the #EndSARS protests at present rocking many states in Nigeria.

In a press release signed by the State Commissioner for Info, Paulinus Nsirim on Monday night, the Rivers State Governor introduced that no type of #EndSARS protest will likely be allowed within the state.

The Governor mentioned the choice to ban the protests adopted the announcement by the Inspector-Basic of Police that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has been dissolved. He, due to this fact, argued that since SARS has been dissolved, there is no such thing as a want for the protests to proceed.

Governor Wike mentioned: “The Rivers State Authorities hereby want to inform most of the people that every one types of protests have been banned all through the State.”

Displeased with the governor’s order, Tacha took to Twitter to state her place on the order, saying: With all Due respect your Excellency, you’re a lawyer and I imagine you understand higher, it is a DEMOCRACY SYSTEM and Rivers State belongs to all of the Daughters and Sons of the state. It’s our RIGHT TO PEACEFULLY PROTEST AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY.
