Fear grips Zamfara communities as bandits burn vehicles

Residents along the Gusau–Dansadau road in Zamfara State are grappling with heightened fear due to threats from suspected bandits, leading many to abandon their vehicles and disrupting local transportation and business activities.

Recent reports indicate a deterioration in security following an attack on the Yar Gada community in Magami Ward, located within the Gusau Local Government Area. According to social media posts, including one from user Bakatsine (@DanKatsina50), bandits allegedly set fire to vehicles belonging to residents in this attack.

The incident has intensified concerns among the local population, many of whom are apprehensive about the possibility of further assaults. Residents are reportedly alarmed by threats connected to the destruction of approximately 250 vehicles in the region.
