MARMARIS, Turkey — Over 30 vessels from the Global Sumud Flotilla have arrived at the Turkish port city of Marmaris, preparing for the final leg of their mission aimed at breaking the Israeli blockade of Gaza.
In a related incident, Israeli authorities intercepted 22 boats off the coast of Greece in late April, detaining several activists on board. The flotilla’s participants are dedicated to raising awareness about the humanitarian situation in Gaza and delivering aid to the region.
