Actress Funke Akindele Addresses Allegations of Snubbing Pasuma

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has rejected claims that she deliberately snubbed fuji musician Wasiu Alabi, known as Pasuma, during a recent event in Lagos.

A video circulating on social media platform X shows Pasuma attempting to engage with Akindele while she conversed with another attendee. In the footage, the actress continues her dialogue without acknowledging Pasuma, who subsequently returns to his seat.

Since the video’s release, speculation has circulated suggesting that Akindele’s actions were an intentional slight. Influencer Uoladiti shared the clip with the commentary, “Moment Funke Akindele snubbed Pasuma in public. This is not looking good at all.”

In response to the unfolding controversy, Akindele took to X to clarify her actions. She asserted that she greeted and danced with Pasuma during the same event, emphasizing their positive relationship. “Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity please. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my Egbon. Please, you all should stop this evil,” she stated.

This incident follows another recent development involving Akindele, who was previously noted for allegedly snubbing fellow actress Toyin Abraham at a movie premiere. The fallout from that encounter led Abraham to announce that she would no longer initiate conversations with Akindele.
