Girlfriends I stole for abandoned me – Convict

A 25-year-old man from Ngurore, Suleiman Idi, is currently serving a sentence at the Yolde Pate Correctional Centre after being convicted of theft. Idi was arrested in June 2026 and subsequently sentenced to six years in prison by the Ngurore Area Court. He began serving his term on June 22, 2026.

On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Adamawa State Jail Delivery Committee reviewed his case and reduced his sentence from six years to two years. The committee is chaired by the state Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman.

During the committee hearing, Idi acknowledged his involvement in the theft of N700,000, which he admitted to using to purchase two mobile phones for his girlfriends, Aisha and Asabe, both of whom reside in Ngurore.
