[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I know I’ve featured this beautiful candle before but much like Jo Malone Pine & Eucalyptus, it really does sum up Christmas in the most perfect olfactory way.

In other words, it’s a classic. Especially since I got an artificial tree I like to have something that smells of pine for the evenings and I like a clean pine – not cluttered up with lots of different notes. This fits that bill in that it is predominantly pine and wood resins.

It’s apt that this 300g version is housed in red glass because once lit, it really glows. There are citrus notes in the mix – oranges and mandarins – that just take the edge off the pine and smooth it down. If a candle is an important part of your celebrations, I’d really recommend this. I’ve found it on Escentual for £74.70 HERE (there might also be a code – there quite often is). But I don’t like the idea that a scented Christmas candle needs to be a lot of money – it doesn’t.

I rate M&S candles – they’ve always got a good level of scent so I’d recommend the Mandarin, Clove and Cinnamon candle for that warming, mulled wine vibe that feels so welcoming. It’s £12.50 HERE. You can always buy a pine oil to diffuse – I’ve had a quick look and there are lots available in which case, you can light any candle and get the best of both worlds for a fraction of the price.
