Stage Collapse at Accord Party Rally in Osun State Causes Panic

Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State — A stage collapsed during an Accord Party rally on Wednesday, resulting in moments of panic among attendees. The incident took place as party leaders and supporters gathered for the event.

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke was present at the inauguration of his re-election canvassers in Ijebu-Jesa, located in the Ori-Ade Local Government Area. Upon arriving at the venue with his entourage, he was welcomed by Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesperson for his re-election campaign council.

As the rally proceeded, Adeleke stood to cheer his supporters, prompting others on stage to join in. This action reportedly caused the stage to shake, leading to its eventual collapse. The governor, along with his sister, Chief of Staff, the spokesperson for the campaign council, and other prominent party members, fell as a result.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
