Gov Aiyedatiwa appoints 1,000 aides, commissioner, three advisers in Ondo
Ondo State Governor Appoints New Commissioner, Advisers, and Political Aides
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has sanctioned the appointment of a new commissioner, three special advisers, and an extensive number of political aides aimed at bolstering his administration and enhancing service delivery throughout the state.
According to a statement from the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the appointments include 90 Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants.
Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba, hailing from the Akoko North-West Local Government Area, has been nominated as the Commissioner for Special Duties. Her nomination has been submitted for screening and confirmation by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Alongside the commissioner, Aiyedatiwa appointed three special advisers: Abimbola Fajolu from Ileoluji-Okeigbo Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Environment; Chief Ade Adeniyi from Ondo West Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development; and Muyiwa Ogunyemi from Akoko North-East Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Transport.
Among the newly appointed Senior Special Assistants are Erelu Toyin Ogungbure, who will focus on Women Mobilization; Bidemi Obayangbon, responsible for Forestry; Gboluge Olufunmi Alex, who will engage with the community in the southern region; Hon. Akin Adeniyi, focused on Community Engagement in central areas; and Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, covering the northern region’s Community Engagement.
Other notable appointments include Kelvin Solomon as Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Adeolu Iwakun on Volunteer Services, Samson Job Bazuaye in the Oil and Gas sector, Fade Ojamomi focused on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation, Sam Adepoju on Public Engagement, and Alhaji Samad Orijeminiyi on Scholarship matters.
Additional appointments feature Victor Omodara as SSA on Grassroots Mobilization and Abayomi Adefolalu as SSA on Photography. Alhaji Abdukadiri Adenoyi, Prince Nzuoma Egbulefu, and Alhaji Garba Goni join as Senior Special Assistants focusing on Non-Indigenes.
The state government has indicated that the complete list of remaining Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants will be disclosed at a later date. All appointments are effective immediately.
