Gov Uba Sani felicitates with Muslims at Eid, urges them to keep faith in God

Kaduna Governor Urges Unity and Reflection During Eid-el-Kabir

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Kabir both locally and globally. In a post from his verified Facebook account, he expressed warm wishes to the citizens of Kaduna State and Nigerians.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, a time for deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and gratitude to Almighty Allah, we are reminded of the core values that this sacred occasion signifies,” Sani stated.

He emphasized the importance of Eid-el-Kabir within Islamic traditions, highlighting its commemoration of the Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to God. Sani noted that Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and the devotion demonstrated by his family serve as guiding principles for generations.

The governor articulated that the essence of the festival transcends the physical act of sacrifice, representing the victory of faith over fear and compassion over self-interest. He referenced a verse from the Holy Qur’an, which underscores that true piety and intention, rather than mere ritual, are what resonate with the Divine.

Sani acknowledged the challenges many families face in the current economic and social climate, underscoring the lessons of Eid in fostering compassion and support for the vulnerable. He stressed the importance of individual moral choices in building a compassionate society.

“Our administration is dedicated to creating a just and inclusive state that values peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity,” he said. He pledged continued investments in key areas such as education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.

In his message, Sani commended the resilience and commitment to peace exhibited by the citizens of Kaduna State. He urged residents to embrace diversity and reject division while promoting mutual respect and understanding.

As families gather in celebration, he called upon them to extend joy to those in need and to pray for lasting peace and stability in the state and nation.

“May Almighty Allah accept our prayers and acts of charity and guide us towards wisdom and righteousness,” Sani concluded.

“Eid Mubarak.”
