It’s a luminous scent – the sort that brightens the wearer by pushing any flatness to one side as a happy, exuberant presence. It is the first sip of a cool, sparkling drink or a step from the shade into sunshine. There’s a drop of powder from iris and violet but most present, for me, is the white flower accord and watermelon and not so much of the bergamot. If you asked me to test it blind, I’d swear to some lily of the valley, but I don’t see that listed as a note. Anyway, it’s an absolute delight best enjoyed in the sunshine and feels like the antidote to this mood-hoovering weather.
