Gunmen abduct IMT student in Enugu

A student of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, identified as Stanley Ogwo, has been kidnapped by gunmen. 

 

The National Diploma II student who is the son of a Radio presenter with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Godwin Ogwo, was kidnapped on Thursday, April 20, while on his way to school from his Emene residence.

 

His father told Punch that the available information is that his son was abducted in a commercial bus he boarded to school. He also disclosed that he has been contacted by the gunmen, but they are yet to make a demand. 

 

Ogwo said; 

 

“They merely asked if we are ready to comply; I was confused and I switched off the phone. We’ve been talking with them and they have said they want money but have yet to name the amount.”
