Nigerian celebrities, including Evan Okoro, Cute Abiola, Salo, Tunde Perry, Tunde Ednut, and Carter Efe, have publicly responded to the recent marriage of social media influencer Gehgeh.

Videos from Gehgeh’s wedding, which took place on Saturday, ignited a flurry of reactions among netizens and fellow celebrities, particularly those who had previously engaged with his controversial views on relationships. Gehgeh had gained notoriety for advising his followers that marriage is a financial burden and suggested alternatives like co-parenting without marriage.

Actress Evan Okoro expressed her shock at Gehgeh’s nuptials, claiming his earlier advice contributed to the dissolution of her own marriage. In an Instagram video, she stated, “Make una no tell me say this Gehgeh’s wedding video na true. Gehgeh talk say anytime wey we see am marry, make we know say na the woman use juju on him. Evan Okoro confirmed her separation from her husband in April 2025.

Tunde Ednut also took to Instagram, writing, “Wait oo! Is Gehgeh married?”

Similarly, Cute Abiola tagged Gehgeh in a post, inquiring, “Are you serious or your joking? Just tell me what I’m seeing online is not true. This boy you nearly spoil my life one year ago. Do you know the number of boys that you have spoiled their lives? You now go and marry. This must be a prank.” Abiola added under Ednut’s post, “Na God say make I don drop out from his school since.
