Comedian and content creator Carterefe has shared a personal account of a difficult experience from a past relationship during an interview with British media personality Madame Joyce.

In the interview, Carterefe recounted a moment where he discovered his ex-girlfriend in a hotel room with another man after he requested that she turn on the lights during a video call. He noted that this experience was painful, but he chose to send food to her at the hotel that same day.

Reflecting on the incident, Carterefe expressed a determination to avoid similar situations in the future. “I have once been cheated on. I don’t know for sure if she cheated, but I called her when she was at a hotel and asked her to switch on the lights only to find out she was with a man. I still bought her food and carried it to the hotel, but it will never happen again,” he stated.

Additionally, Carterefe indicated a shift in his dating preferences, stating that he is no longer interested in pursuing relationships or marriage with Nigerian women, describing them as materialistic. Instead, he expressed a preference for British women, whom he believes “love wholeheartedly.”
