As time passed, Egbuson’s determination to prioritize his career created a noticeable distance between them. His partner eventually chose to move on, marrying someone who could provide the attention he could not.
Egbuson acknowledged that her departure continues to affect him, as he feels she was his destined life partner. He emphasized the importance of emotional availability in maintaining healthy relationships, noting that being present, attentive, and genuinely interested in a partner’s daily life are vital components.
He cautioned against an exclusive focus on financial matters, arguing that it can either attract the wrong partner or alter a good one into someone who values material wealth over emotional connection. Egbuson further stated that a relationship based solely on money lacks the necessary depth.
