Mercy Eke Discusses Cooking Expectations in Relationships

Former “Big Brother Naija” winner Mercy Eke has drawn attention for her remarks regarding household responsibilities and relationships. During a recent episode of the podcast “Toke Moments,” hosted by Toke Makinwa, Eke expressed her views on cooking for a partner.

Eke stated she is unwilling to marry or date someone who expects her to prepare meals on a daily basis. “I only cook once in a while when I am in the mood,” she said, adding that if a partner desires fresh food every day, they should consider hiring a chef.

She emphasized her perspective on relationship dynamics, saying, “Love can never make me cook for a man every day. I’m not the woman for that kind of man.” Eke advised that it is crucial to find a partner who aligns with one’s expectations, noting, “That is why it’s important to marry someone who has what you are looking for.”

Concluding her remarks, Eke candidly stated that those who believe they cannot eat leftovers should reconsider their compatibility with her.
