Former Big Brother Naija contestant Sabrina Idukpaye recently shared her views on financial disparity and its impact on romantic relationships. During an appearance on The LOO podcast, Idukpaye stated that she would not consider marrying a man who earns less than she does.
In her remarks, Idukpaye referenced her personal experiences, suggesting that when a woman earns significantly more than her partner, it can pose challenges to the relationship. She acknowledged that while love can overcome many obstacles, financial equality is a key factor in her decision-making process.
“I found out that sometimes, it’s difficult for a man to maintain a sustainable relationship with someone who earns far more than them,” she said. “It is normally not the healthiest of relationships, having experienced it. So, I definitely will not marry a poorer man unless we fell in love before we found out about it.”
