I don’t have money that can lift family members from poverty’ – GehGeh replies sister

Content Creator GehGeh Addresses Allegations of Family Neglect
Popular content creator Emmanuel Obruste, known online as GehGeh, has publicly responded to allegations of neglect made by his younger sister.
According to reports by DAILY POST, GehGeh’s sister accused him of neglecting her and their other siblings, despite his financial success. She claimed she was excluded from his recent housewarming ceremony.
The allegations sparked a wave of criticism directed at GehGeh on social media platforms. In response to the backlash, he posted a video on his Instagram account.
In the video, GehGeh stated, “I do not have the kind of money that can lift a family from poverty. I can only do my best.” He highlighted past support he has provided to his family, noting that he bought his sister the phone she currently uses. He also encouraged his siblings to seek employment rather than rely solely on him for financial support.
As the first member of his family to achieve significant financial success, GehGeh expressed his perspective on familial obligations. “I will not help anyone to the point where I later need support from them,” he said. “I will give my best but not my all.”
He referenced other public figures, noting the time it took for their financial situations to improve. “I started earning money from social media only two years ago,” he said, emphasizing the unique challenges he faces as the first in his family to achieve this level of success. He highlighted that he has his own family, including three children, to take care of.
“I’m applying strategy over emotions,” he stated. “In my family’s history, I am the first to own a duplex and cars. To expect me to elevate everyone at once is unrealistic.”
