“I felt ashamed” Medical doctor highlights the difference in how men speak to women versus how they speak to men

A medical doctor has highlighted the difference in the way people address women and men.

He pointed out that he once caught himself being rude to a female customer representative but when it was a male representative, he became calmer. 

He said he later realised that “this is the misogyny that women have been complaining about”.

He added that even in the hospital, patients’ relatives are usually polite to male medics but rude to female medics.

He then called for people to be more conscious of their actions and change where necessary.
