‘I made mistake not supporting Tinubu earlier’ – Cubana Chief Priest

Cubana Chief Priest Reflects on Political Shift, Acknowledges Past Mistakes

Imo State – Notable businessman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest has admitted that his decision not to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last general election was a miscalculation. He announced a new political strategy focused on collaboration with the federal government during a recent political gathering.

The event, which Chief Priest described as the culmination of weeks of planning, highlighted a growing unity in support of the current administration. He emphasized that years of political opposition had not yielded the desired outcomes, prompting his decision to alter his approach.

“We have decided to partner with the government at the center. We are not ready to fight. We tried fighting and it didn’t work for us,” said Chief Priest.

He praised Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for fostering a strong relationship with the federal government, asserting that this cooperation has facilitated development within the state. Additionally, he commended Seyi Tinubu for his role as a uniting figure, enhancing relationships across various ethnic and regional groups.

Reflecting on the previous election, Chief Priest expressed regret over his opposition to Tinubu, stating he now views that choice as a political misstep. “Politics is a game…we don’t want to lose again, and we will never waste our votes again,” he said.

Looking ahead, he predicted that the increasing support for the president could lead to a significant political movement in the country, vowing to strengthen mobilization efforts for future elections.

Chief Priest concluded the gathering with prayers for Tinubu’s success in office and urged Nigerians to foster unity, cooperation, and partnership as the nation progresses.
