I ran away from Nigeria, never wanted to come back – Singer Chidinma

Chidinma Ekile, a well-known Nigerian singer, recently shared her experiences leading up to her transition from secular music to the gospel genre. Speaking at an event hosted by Eezee Conceptz, she disclosed that she initially left Nigeria in search of permanent residency abroad, hoping not to return.
Chidinma revealed that during her time overseas, the only person who consistently reached out to her from Nigeria was the CEO of Eezee Conceptz, who provided her with encouragement and support. This prompted her to return home.
“I travelled. I ran away from Nigeria. I was processing my papers not to come back to Nigeria, but for some reason, it didn’t work,” Chidinma said.
Upon her return, she approached the Eezee Conceptz CEO with a request for a contract in gospel music, expressing her desire to focus on her spiritual journey. According to Chidinma, the contract she received was so generous that her lawyer remarked it resembled a charitable agreement.
