Identity of Ebola patient in Nigeria revealed, husband in isolation

The Nigerian government has confirmed a case of Ebola virus disease in the Federal Capital Territory after a woman tested positive for the virus following her recent trip from Uganda.
According to a statement from the Swiss foreign ministry, the 42-year-old woman, who was born in Uganda and currently resides in Abuja, has been hospitalized for approximately one week at a private clinic. She began exhibiting symptoms after returning from Uganda, where the ministry believes she contracted the virus.
The statement also noted that the woman’s husband is currently in isolation but has not shown any symptoms. He accompanied her on her trip to Uganda, during which she is believed to have become infected.
