Inspector-General of Police Launches Campaign Against Cultism and Social Vices

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has initiated a nationwide campaign aimed at addressing cultism and various social issues through the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

In a statement released on Sunday, Force Public Relations Officer CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu outlined the campaign’s objectives, which include combating cultism, drug abuse, violent crime, and other social challenges. The initiative will be implemented across all State Commands and is designed to engage communities through grassroots sensitization, early intervention, and direct community involvement.

The campaign will collaborate with schools, community organizations, religious groups, and other stakeholders to foster positive values, safeguard young individuals from criminal influences, and enhance preventive policing efforts nationwide.
