I’m a better rapper than Olamide, Phyno, MI combined’ – CDQ

Nigerian rapper Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, known professionally as CDQ, has asserted that he surpasses industry veterans Olamide, Phyno, and MI in terms of rap skills.

During a recent appearance on the Faloh Frequency podcast, the artist, recognized for his hit “Nowo Soke,” stated, “I am a better rapper than Blaqbonez, Phyno, Olamide, and MI combined.” He acknowledged Blaqbonez as a strong competitor among Nigerian rappers but maintained that his lyrical quality is superior.

CDQ emphasized that a rapper’s merit should be judged by their lyrical substance rather than their popularity or commercial success. He believes he possesses greater lyrical depth compared to many of his peers.

His remarks have generated a mixed response online, with some social media users criticizing him for perceived disrespect towards established figures in the genre. Despite the controversy surrounding his comments, CDQ has not issued a clarification or retraction.
