Zlatan Ibrahimovic Claims Superiority Over Erling Haaland
Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has asserted that he considers himself a more versatile and complete striker than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
In an interview with Fox Sports, Ibrahimovic acknowledged Haaland’s exceptional scoring ability, describing him as “intelligent” and a “killer in the box.” However, he emphasized his own strengths while reflecting on their contrasting playing styles.
“He scores goals and is effective in restricted areas, but I was more versatile,” Ibrahimovic stated. “I enjoyed playing with the ball. He is intelligent and efficient, but he doesn’t extend beyond what he can do. He conserves his energy.”
Ibrahimovic also referenced a previous interview with Haaland, in which the Norwegian expressed a desire to “touch the ball twice and score two goals.” Ibrahimovic countered, saying, “My dream was to touch the ball twice and score three goals.”
