Portable Shares Messages in Response to Relationship Claims

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has publicly shared private messages with his former partner, Queen Dami, amid claims that their romantic relationship has ended. The musician made the disclosure through a now-deleted post on social media.

The messages, which date to January 1, 2026, show a money transfer of ₦200,000 from Portable to Dami, who subsequently thanked him for his support. Portable asserted that the exchanges serve as evidence of his ongoing financial assistance and commitment to covering her expenses.

In his post, Portable expressed frustration at what he perceives as a lack of appreciation for his efforts. “I do a lot for them, but them no appreciate,” he wrote, challenging Dami’s assertions regarding their relationship status. He claimed to have continued paying her bills until recently, questioning why she would deny his involvement in her life.

Earlier, during a live video session, Portable accused Dami of publicly denying their relationship. He alleged that they had reconciled and recounts spending numerous nights together, questioning why she would suggest they were no longer together.

In contrast, Queen Dami responded by sharing a screenshot of a legal petition she filed against Portable. She clarified that she does not view him as a partner, referring to him as her ex. Dami rejected claims of ongoing romantic involvement and dismissed allegations that she had interacted with Portable for sexual purposes as false.

She emphasized that she has moved on and warned Portable against disseminating untrue and potentially defamatory narratives about her. Dami announced her intention to issue a legal notice requiring Portable to retract his statements or face possible financial consequences.

The couple initially gained public attention following the death of the Alaafin of Oyo, where Dami was seen with Portable. In an interview from earlier this year, Portable confirmed their relationship, revealing that Dami had been a fan before her husband’s passing. Following a brief period of reconciliation last year, their relationship has since deteriorated, leading to their current public disputes.
