Insecurity: ‘Nigerians dying on your mandate’ – Actor Laide Olabanji tells Tinubu

Nollywood Actor Criticizes Government’s Handling of Insecurity

Laide Olabanji, a prominent Nollywood actor and CEO of LAIBAN Films International, has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its failure to protect the lives and property of citizens.

Olabanji’s comments come in response to increasing insecurity across Nigeria, highlighted by the recent beheading of a teacher in Oyo State and ongoing violent attacks by bandits in Plateau State. The actor expressed concern over what he perceives as the government’s lack of responsiveness to the dire situation.

“In your mandate, we are crying,” Olabanji remarked in a video shared on Instagram. “Nigerians are being killed every minute. You’ve turned citizens’ lives into targets. They are being killed every day, and you are not responsive.”

He further urged the government to prioritize security, stating, “If you can’t provide good electricity, better roads, or reduce hunger, then at least ensure the safety of Nigerians. Nigeria is bleeding; killings must stop.”

The video, which Olabanji shared on Wednesday, emphasizes his call for urgent action to address the escalating violence affecting the nation.
