Nigerian Musician Alleges IShowSpeed’s African Tour was a Cover for Spy Operation by Elon Musk
Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has alleged that the recent tour of African countries by American streamer IShowSpeed was, in fact, a covert operation on behalf of Elon Musk. Kuti made these claims in a video that has since gone viral.
According to Kuti, he learned of the supposed connections only two days prior. He explained that he was initially contacted by the tour promoter and producer, who expressed interest in meeting him. Kuti suggested that Musk funded IShowSpeed’s tour to assess the range of his satellites across the continent.
“You can’t know the deals they’re making behind the scenes,” Kuti said in the video. “You just think they’re coming to talk to you, but they all have agendas.”
Kuti recounted his experience after agreeing to meet with the promoter, who is a friend. He said the promoter later failed to follow up with him upon his arrival in Nigeria. Despite reaching out multiple times, Kuti claimed he received little response, ultimately leading him to dismiss the matter.
Kuti then revealed his astonishment at finding out that the tour had been sponsored by Musk for the purpose of reconnaissance in Africa, asserting that the visits to rural areas were part of this alleged surveillance.
IShowSpeed, known for his influence as an American streamer, toured 20 African countries in January 2026, stating that the objective was to promote African culture.
