‘I’ve never called names’ – Falz on losing deals for standing against bad governance [VIDEO]

Nigerian Singer Falz Addresses Criticism in Campaign Against Bad Governance

Nigerian artist Folarin Falana, known professionally as Falz, has clarified that his advocacy against poor governance in Nigeria does not specifically target any politicians or political parties.

In a recent interview with Arise 360, Falz responded to inquiries about whether his campaign has affected his professional collaborations. He recounted an incident where a potential partner expressed concerns about his stance on politics, suggesting it may hinder future partnerships.

Falz remarked that anyone who takes issue with his advocacy may be part of the broader challenges facing the nation. He emphasized, “I’m not single-handedly picking at anyone to antagonize. What I’m speaking to is the practice and not even really the people in particular.”

He maintained that he has never identified specific political figures or parties in his messages. “If you feel in any way attacked or feel like what I’m doing is in any way directed at you, then maybe I shouldn’t even be there. But what I’m saying is the truth.”

Falz reiterated that his focus is on the state of governance in Nigeria rather than personal grievances against individuals. “What they say when speaking with my manager was something political, but this is absolutely zero affiliation. I’m just talking about what is going on. If you have a problem with them, then you are the problem,” he stated.
