Kano court remands suspect over alleged fatal stabbing

KANO, Nigeria — Nasir appeared in Magistrates’ Court No. 15 on Wednesday, facing charges of murder and causing grievous bodily harm. Magistrate Abdulaziz Mahmud presided over the proceedings, during which the prosecution, represented by Auwal Sani Dandago, presented evidence against the defendant.
The court ordered that Nasir be remanded in a correctional facility until November 12, 2026, pending further advice from the government.
The charges stem from an alleged knife attack involving two men, Dalladi and Nura. Authorities report that Dalladi succumbed to his injuries, while Nura is currently receiving medical treatment.
According to the police, the incident took place along Sokoto Road in Kano following a dispute over driving space. It is alleged that Dalladi failed to provide Nasir with adequate room while driving, which escalated into the violent confrontation.
