Kebbi State Government Dissolves Governing Council of Abdullahi Fodio University
The Kebbi State Government has dissolved the Governing Council of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero, following recommendations from a visitation panel that reviewed the institution’s affairs.
The decision was made during a meeting of the State Executive Council, as announced in a statement by Secretary to the State Government Yakubu Bala Tafida.
Additionally, the government has relieved the Vice Chancellor and the two Deputy Vice Chancellors, one overseeing academic affairs and the other administration, of their positions. The Registrar and Bursar have also been dismissed, and the appointment of Abba Mohammed Adua has been terminated.
In response to these changes, Professor Samaila Arzika Mungadi has been appointed as the Sole Administrator of the university. He will manage the institution’s operations until a new Governing Council and principal officers are appointed.
This decision is set to take effect on April 30, 2026.
