A Lagos-based oil and gas engineer, Mr. Moses Tsado, on Wednesday emerged the first winner of a premium house in Globacom’s on-going Festival of Joy consumer-reward promotion targeted at High Networth customers of the digital solutions company.

 
57-year-old Tsado, a director of Antan Producing Limited, emerged in the first draw held in Lagos on Tuesday. He received the keys to the house from Oba Ojomu of Lakowe, Oba Abdulhakkem Olusegun Ojomu, brand influencer, Nnenna Ekere, and Glo officials at its location in Ajah, Lagos, the next day, Wednesday, December 20.
 

The Indigene of Niger State who narrated his experience said he was very excited he got a call from Glo officials but was skeptical in view of rampant scams in the country.

 
According to him, “I got a call from a staff member of Globacom telling me that I won a house in the ongoing promo and I was very excited about it, but my instinct prompted me to crosscheck so that I will not fall into the hands of scammers. Immediately, I called a good friend who works in Globacom and he assured me that all was well. It was after the confirmation that I drove down to meet the officials of the company and the rest is history. To God be the glory”.

 
The father of two, who has not made up his mind on how he will use the house, explained that Globacom had shown its total commitment towards the welfare of Nigerians, adding that, in the last 20 years, the company had rolled out many promotions that had benefitted Nigerians immensely.

At the event, Globacom’s Retail Chief, Lagos, Mr. Lawrence Odediran, said the presentation was in fulfillment of the company’s commitment to Nigerians when the promo was unveiled. He added that It was also a confirmation of the company’s resolve to constantly add value to the lives of its subscribers.

 

He said the promo is open to all new and existing (prepaid and post-paid) subscribers, adding that they can qualify for the draw by recharging N50,000 or more in a month to stand a chance to win a Business Class return ticket or a recharge of N100,000 or more to stand a chance of winning a Premium Bungalow in  Nigeria. “The more you recharge, the more your chances of winning”, he concluded. 

 

Also speaking at the event, the representative of the Nigeria Communications Commission, Mrs Ijeoma Bassey, said that the Festival of Joy promo is adding value to the lives of Glo subscribers as seen in the presentation of first house prize to the winner. She added  that  Glo  has been compliant with the rules and that  NCC is satisfied with Globacom’s execution of the promo.

 

 

Coordinator of National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lagos Office, Mrs. Priscilla Onuzulu, stated that Glo’s tradition of give out amazing prizes is commendable, adding that “this event is not an exception”. 

 

“Over the years, Glo has kept to its promises and the company is  always doing the right things as agreed with NLRC. Kudos to Globacom and congratulations to the winner”, she added.

 
Dignitaries at the  presentation ceremony included the Oba Ojomu of Lakowe, Abdulhakeem Olusegun  Ojomu, Iyaloja of  Lakowe Market, Chief ( Mrs) Bolanle Owoseni, Chairman of CDC, Ajah, Hon. Sabita Adeboye and the Nollywood trio of Tope Olowoniyan, Tobi Bakare and Nnenna Ekere.
