Nigerian Singer BNXN Claims Lagos More Expensive Than U.S. Cities
Nigerian singer Daniel Benson, known as BNXN, recently stated that the cost of living in Lagos exceeds that of the United States, including cities like Los Angeles.
During a livestream on TikTok, BNXN, who has recently relocated to the U.S., discussed the differences he has observed. He highlighted that in the U.S., he has not encountered individuals soliciting money, a stark contrast to his experiences in Lagos.
“Since I got to the United States, nobody has asked me to give them money,” he remarked. “People are also suffering here, but the situation is different.”
He elaborated on the expenses in Lagos, claiming, “Lagos is super expensive. It is more expensive than Los Angeles. Aside from housing, every other thing in LA is not expensive.” BNXN mentioned he pays $12,000 a month for rent in Los Angeles, but he believes managing expenses is simpler in the U.S.
His comments reflect ongoing discussions about the cost of living in major cities worldwide, particularly in comparison to Nigeria’s economic landscape.
