British Singer Lewis Capaldi has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to fans, while he continues to focus on his mental health.

The British singer who has topped the UK charts, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Glastonbury crowd for their support during his last performance, where he faced challenges due to his Tourette’s syndrome.

As a headliner on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, Capaldi delivered a series of hit songs but had to cut his set short due to vocal difficulties. Despite struggling with his voice during his final song, “Someone You Loved,” the immense crowd stepped in and carried the performance forward.

The sight of Capaldi being lifted by the crowd as his tics overwhelmed him was a profound and significant moment, showcasing the love, care, kindness, and understanding present in the audience.

Capaldi acknowledged the importance of such support and expressed his appreciation for the Glastonbury experience. He said, “I recently took three weeks off just because I have been non-stop since the start of the year and I wanted to have a wee break for my head and my mental health.

“I wanted to come back and to do Glastonbury because it is so incredible, so I just wanted to thank you all for coming and watching us.

He mentioned that he would be taking the rest of the year off to focus on recovering from his mental health struggles. He said:“I was s**t-scared but you really made me feel at ease.”
He continued: “I am really sorry and I hope (Glastonbury organizer Emily) Eavis will have me back on because this has been a f*****g s**t show.

“It genuinely means a lot for me to be here. If I never get to be here again, this has been enough.”
After his well-deserved break, Capaldi returned to perform at Glastonbury, acknowledging his initial apprehension but thanking the audience for making him feel at ease.

Despite the challenges he faced, Capaldi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and hoped to be invited back in the future.

Reflecting on his journey, Capaldi’s recent Netflix documentary shed light on how his personal anxiety has intensified as his career has soared.
