LIVE: Aussie wildcard blows up at umpire’s dodgy call

World No.1 Iga Swiatek again found herself in trouble in the first set against Sofia Kenin but somehow managed to pull herself out of it.

After gaining control to take the lead following the seventh game, which took eight minutes, Swiatek stumbled again through a lax forehand that went wide, giving Kenin an opportunity to serve for the first set.

However, Swiatek fought back in a dominant display the next game, to set up three break points and she levelled the score at 5-5.

She then pounced on a 40-0 lead the next game to take a 6-5 lead, before Kenin held serve to force it to a tiebreak.

Swiatek took an early break to lead the tie-break and continued to make plays down the stretch to take the tiebreak 7-2.
