LIVE: ‘Chainsaw’ unleashed as England fall apart

Pat Cummins has his first wicket as Australia’s one-day captain, with Phil Salt caught by Steve Smith at second slip.

Just a ball after Salt had dispatched Cummins over backward square-leg, the skipper hit back, with Smith taking a regulation catch at waist height.

“Wonderful comeback by Pat Cummins,” said Adam Gilchrist on Fox Cricket.

Two balls later Salt’s opening partner Jason Roy was on his way, bowled in emphatic fashion by Mitchell Starc, with Roy all at sea against the ball that pitched on middle and off and straightened slightly down the line.

“He could not believe it,” Gilchrist said of Roy, as the bails went flying.

James Vince was the third man to go, caught behind off Cummins.
