LIVE: Harry Potter card swings Australian derby

The Brumbies have managed to hang on in a fierce Australian derby with a 22-19 win.

That lifts them to a 2-1 record while the Force remain winless and rooted to the bottom of the Super Rugby ladder.

Ben Donaldson’s wayward boot has cost the Force there with a couple of crucial misses.

“We had a great first half but we come out, give away a yellow card and then the penalties just kept piling up,” Donaldson told Stan Sport.

“They go to their rolling maul and it was tough to get back momentum at GIO against the Brumbies when giving them that many penalties. So I think that’s where we got behind them.

“We’re just lapsing in those moments, you know, too many penalties, too many missed tackles again. Plenty of moments to like, but definitely not good enough.”
