LIVE: Manly benefits from dubious Bunker call

Manly skipper Daly Cherry-Evans’ absence due to Origin duties has not stopped his side in a dominant first-half showing against the NZ Warriors at home.

The Sea Eagles rammed home four unanswered tries to take a 24-0 lead into the sheds in what has been a truly barnstorming performance.

“Nothing too flashy, it was just a really good disciplined half of footy. We’ve got to back it up in the second half. It’s a simple game,” stand-in Manly skipper Jake Trbojevic says as he walks off the field.

As good as Manly were, it was a desperately disappointing 40 minutes for the Warriors.

“Nathan Brown must be livid with what he’s seen from some of his leaders at the start of his game,” league great Corey Parker says on Fox League’s coverage.

“They’ve had very limited ball. There are huge concerns for the Warriors with what’s going on at the moment. The stats are alarming.”

“Again they’ve conceded 24 points in a half of footy,” league great Michael Ennis added.

“29 missed tackles, it’s been diabolical from the Warriors, absolutely disastrous.”
