LIVE: Matildas dominate with an eight-goal thumping

Hat-trick hero Sam Kerr has reflected on her phenomenal performance after the Matildas made a major statement in Olympic qualifying. 

“It’s amazing to play here at Optus in front of a home crowd, walking out it was pretty nice. Great performance by the girls,” she told Paramount+.

The striker agreed it was one of those games where everything went right. 

“Yeah I think so but we’ve been training at this all week and the first game we had a few things to work but I think everyone just came out here and gave 100 per cent, we worked our butts off today that’s for sure,” she said.
