[ad] Who had the presence of mind to make the packaging for the Liz Earle Cleanse & Glow range a grown up pink? It’s exactly the colour I want around me as we make our way into spring. And, what better time to do a little glow focus? I want glow more than I want anything else from my skin – radiance is just beautiful on any complexion at all and I love to see it.

Liz Earle NEW Glow Collection

The Liz Earle Cleanse & Glow regime is not an arduous one – the three products with innovative ingredients are designed to banish those wintery cells and reveal fresh ones so your skin can glow in peace. Begin with the Cleanse & Glow Transforming Gel Cleanser which does a triple act by starting as a gel, merging into an oil and ending as a milk. The initial gel is a glorious texture – almost balm like – which softens to an oil once warmed on your skin. There’s a mild bergamot note to it which is very pleasing and the rinse off is so quick and simple because upon contact with water, the milky residue just wipes away. Ingredient wise, the key players are Black bee honey, acerola cherry and elderberry oil – these are careful choices because combined, they’re a powerhouse. Acerola is high in antioxidants and Vitamin C, Black Bee honey is good for regenerating skin microflora as well as strengthening the skin barrier. Silky Elderberry oil is a warrior at keeping moisture within the skin. It’s £26 HERE.

Next up is the Smooth & Glow Exfoliating Tonic, £20 HERE. I think we all know the Instant Boost Skin Tonic – Smooth & Glow Exfoliating Tonic is a revised version of that focussing on retexturizing for smoother, brighter skin and the minimized appearance of pores. Again, it’s high in natural actives – vitamin c with acerola cherry, but this time it’s combined with prickly pair which is a brilliant alternative to glycolic acid and gives comparable results. Add to that sea buckthorn, which is packed with antioxidants, and you have a quick application tonic worth its weight in gold. If your skin isn’t as smooth as you’d like it to be and you can only pick one thing, this is it!

You finish with Revitalize & Glow Illuminating Gel Moisturiser £28 HERE – the texture of this is truly beautiful. What I notice throughout is that although there is the scent of bergamot, the entire range has a ‘natural’ ingredient aroma. It smells like skin care used to smell before it forgot what it was supposed to be doing and tried to be all the things at once. I like it for having a suggestion of the place from where the natural actives actually came and I’ve enjoyed using it. In the moisturiser, you’ll find key players are prickly pear, acerola and sea buckthorn.

I feel that the brand has really hit the glow spot with this collection – I’m not exaggerating when I say it is lovely to use; gentle, fresh and lightly aromatic and will suit all skin types looking for some spring brightness in their skin. I think Liz Earle Cleanse & Glow is well priced but also don’t forget that you have 60 days to return the Cleanse & Glow Tonic if you feel it doesn’t work for you. Enzymatic exfoliators like prickly pear are, in my view, the gentlest type but not everyone’s skin is the same.
