It appears Senator Shehu Sani disapproves of the renaming of the Maiduguri airport after former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.
On Monday, June 26, President Tinubu approved the renaming of some airports after prominent Nigerians. In the statement released, it was revealedthat the Maiduguri Airport was renamed after President Buhari.
In a tweet posted on his handle today June 27, Sani opined that these Nigerian men, Lt. Col Abu Ali who fought and led successful battle against terrorists in the North Eastern state as well as Yakubu Fannanmi who grabbed a suicide bomber thereby preventing the killing of many worshippers at a mosque, deserve to have the airport renamed after them instead.
